Blower motor runs when stat is off and in auto
GMPN 100-4 furnace. Main Blower motor (not draft inducer)runs when stat is off and auto/on fan switch is auto. Disconnected stat - and blower motor still runs. Unit is NOT trying to heat. Fault code on board is 5 blinks (False Flame Sensed)but again the unit is not trying to go through the sequence of operations to heat (or cool).
Blower Motor Runs All the time
With a newer heating system the control board will run the blower when it senses a fault in the system. To narrow down the problem turn the power of to the furnace and then back on, with the thermostat up the system should try to start heating look and see if the igniter comes on and then the burners, If you get burners and they stay on then it was a false fault, If the burners do not stay on then you may have a dirty flame rod sensor, (I recommend taking it out and cleaning it), If you get no burners at all then you may have an igniter issue.
